Fixed: FocusDragon could make your Mac feel sluggish, with occasional short freezes. To be sure your blocks are still enforced, the app checks your browsers’ settings files to confirm the extension is installed and hasn’t been switched off or tampered with. That check was re-reading and re-analysing every browser profile on your machine every few seconds — for someone with several Chrome profiles that is around a megabyte of data, twenty times a minute, on the same thread that draws the interface. It now only re-reads a file when it has actually changed, which for browser settings is rarely. If your Mac felt heavier after installing FocusDragon, that was us, not your machine, and it should feel normal again. Nothing about how blocks are enforced has changed — the same checks still happen, just without the repeated work.
