Symptoms
Your version stays old even though a newer release is out. Check for Updates does nothing, errors out, or never finds a newer build.
Likely causes
- The auto-update configuration is missing from the app's Info.plist (happens with builds not produced by the proper release pipeline)
- Network is blocking www.focusdragon.app
- The bundle on disk is corrupt or only partially written
Step-by-step fix
- 1. Click the FocusDragon menu → Check for Updates. Wait for the dialog.
- 2. If it says "You're up to date" but you know you aren't, quit and relaunch the app, then try again.
- 3. If the update check still doesn't surface a newer build, redownload the DMG directly from focusdragon.app.
If the in-app update check never finds new versions, redownload the DMG from focusdragon.app and replace the app.
Last resort
Download the latest DMG directly from focusdragon.app, quit FocusDragon, drag the new app into /Applications (replacing the old one), and relaunch. Your blocks, settings, and account stay intact — they live outside the bundle.
