AI & Focus

What does the AI focus assistant do?

When you start a focus block with a task context ("writing my essay", "coding the API"), the AI captures a downscaled, compressed screenshot of your main display at regular intervals plus a short text snippet (browser DOM excerpt or window title) and decides whether what you're doing matches your stated task.

If you drift — say you open Reddit while your task is "studying math" — the AI intervenes. On Nudge mode it force-quits the offending app with a brief overlay. On Hard mode it force-quits and locks you out for 5 minutes.

The screenshot and text are sent to FocusDragon AI for classification. Under the hood FocusDragon AI routes through third-party model providers — they do not train on these inputs and retain them for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring before permanently deleting. FocusDragon never stores screenshots on its own servers. Capture only runs while a block is active.
