macOS
- macOS 14 Sonoma or later (current Xcode deployment target).
- Apple Silicon or Intel Mac — ships as a universal binary.
- Administrator account (needed once during installation to grant Full Disk Access to the background service).
Network
- Internet required for sign-in, Pro checkout/trial, and auto-updates.
- No internet needed for manual blocking, locked blocks, scheduled blocks or the Pomodoro timer — they run fully offline once installed and signed in.
Browsers
- Safari — extension ships with the app.
- Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Chrome for Testing — install the FocusDragon extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Firefox — install the FocusDragon extension from Firefox Add-ons (addons.mozilla.org).
- Arc, Tor Browser, DuckDuckGo Browser, Orion and similar — not reliably enforceable; during a website block FocusDragon may close them rather than leave an unmonitored browser open.
AI Focus needs the FocusDragon extension in every supported browser you have installed before a block can start.
iPhone and iPad
FocusDragon for iPhone and iPad is on the App Store as a beta. From the Mac app, open the iOS tab for a QR code and download link. The Mac blocker documented on this site remains the primary product.
