What it does
Instead of clicking through the block editor, type something like "block all social media during work hours" and FocusDragon's parser turns it into a block with the right items, activation schedule, and lock type. Good for users who know what they want but don't want to spec it cell by cell.
What it's good at
- Common categories — social media, news sites, video, games. The model knows the canonical sites.
- Time windows — "weekdays 9 to 5", "every evening after 8pm", "all of Sunday".
- Lock type hints — "with a 2-hour timer", "with a password", "unbreakable until tomorrow".
What it gets wrong
- Niche or regional sites — your local news outlet may not be recognized; add it manually.
- Complex compound rules — "block X but allow Y subdomain" sometimes drops the exception.
- Ambiguous time windows — "morning" is interpreted as a specific range that may not match yours.
How to refine
- After generation, the block opens in the editor. Review every field.
- Add missing items to the items list manually.
- Adjust schedules and lock settings as needed.
- Save when it matches your intent.
Natural-language block creation requires an AI Focus subscription. The parser runs through the same classifier infrastructure.
Treat natural-language creation as a draft, not a final config. The parser saves you setup time but always benefits from a human review pass.
