Symptoms
On launch, FocusDragon shows a warning that your clock looks wrong. Or: schedule-triggered blocks don't start at the expected time, JWT errors appear in sign-in, period tracking in Stats is off by hours or days.
Cause
Several pieces of FocusDragon rely on your Mac's clock being within a few minutes of network time: server JWT validation (5-minute tolerance), schedule rules ("start at 09:00"), and the daily stats rollup boundary. If your clock has drifted, all of these misbehave at once.
Step-by-step fix
- 1. Open System Settings → General → Date & Time.
- 2. Toggle Set time and time zone automatically On.
- 3. Confirm the Time Zone shown matches where you actually are.
- 4. Wait 30 seconds for the clock to resync against time.apple.com.
- 5. Quit and relaunch FocusDragon.
Manually setting the clock to bypass a Locked block does not work — and it will desync your stats, your schedule rules, and your auth in the process. Don't try it.
