Make the study goal smaller than the subject.
‘Study maths’ leaves a lot unexplained. ‘Practice integration questions using my class notes and worked examples’ gives your block a clearer purpose. Name the topic, the output and the kinds of resources you expect to use. That gives the screen checks context without requiring you to predict every useful page.
For an essay, try ‘Draft the introduction and first argument for my essay on memory, using my notes and academic sources.’ For a coding assignment, describe the feature you are implementing and the documentation you need. These are example goals, not guarantees about how any particular screen will be classified.
Research should have a destination.
A new tab is not automatically a distraction. Looking up a definition, watching a relevant explanation or checking a reference can be part of studying. AI Focus is designed to compare that activity with your goal rather than assume that every browser visit is off task.

Keep the goal honest. If you need to research, say so. If the task is to work through exercises, say that instead of describing an entire semester. Because AI can make mistakes and closes whole apps or browsers, avoid leaving unrelated unsaved work open during a block.
