What happened
Installing an update restarts the background service. For a few seconds it is registered but not yet running — which looks, from a single check, like the service having died. Older builds could raise "Your blocks aren't protected" during that gap even when nothing was wrong.
What to do
- Wait about half a minute. If the alert disappears, you can ignore it.
- If it stays, open Settings → Blocking → Background Service and confirm it reads Running.
- If it is Stopped, click Enable and approve the macOS prompt.
From 1.23.5 onward FocusDragon waits for two failed checks in a row before raising this alert, so a normal update restart should not trigger it. The update that brings that fix can still show the alert one last time on the way in.
