How schedules work
A Schedule lock (or a Sleep / Device schedule) tells FocusDragon when a block should be active. The background daemon owns that schedule: once it is set, the block starts and ends on time even if you have quit the FocusDragon app window.
What to expect
- Create the block, pick Schedule (or the Device/Sleep flow), set the days and times, then save.
- When the window opens, enforcement starts automatically — no need to press Start each day.
- When the window ends, enforcement stops. You do not need the app open for either edge.
- Changing your Mac's clock does not shorten a block the way some older blockers allow — timers are measured against a clock the system date cannot move.
If the background service is not running, schedules cannot fire. Check Settings → Blocking → Background Service before relying on overnight or workday schedules.
